(INDIVIDUALS, COUPLES, ADULT FAMILY UNITS)

Helps with complex trauma, professional exposure to trauma (inc. veterans, first responders, medical professionals), medical trauma, impact of chronic illness, and racial trauma. Approaches: Emotionally Focused Therapy, EMDR, neurodevelopmental perspective.

My journey as a therapist has largely consisted of working with individuals, couples, and families with complex histories and treatment needs. Their ability to overcome adversities and trauma strengthened my belief that we all have resources within ourselves to support healing. My role as your therapist is to collaboratively guide you in strengthening those resources and provide a safe setting in which healing and corrective experiences can occur, and over time generalize to all areas of life.

As a Mexican woman of Indigenous heritage, I understand the importance of considering and integrating different aspects of identity that may inform the way we respond to stressors. Living in Alaska has only strengthened my passion for ensuring that we consider those aspects given how diverse, as well as unique, Alaska is!

Client populations and difficulties I can help with:

  • medical/mental health providers
  • first responders and their family members
  • military members/veterans and their families
  • Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC)
  • ADHD and Autism neurotypes
  • professional exposure to trauma
  • racial trauma/cultural identity issues

My Treatment Approaches
