The Mental Health Co-Op (TMHC) provides therapeutic services for individuals, couples, and families in the Mat-Su Valley and surrounding areas. We provide evidenced based interventions to clients who have experienced trauma. These traumas may be complex in nature and may stem from childhood, military service/combat, violence, accidents, natural disasters, discrimination, religious traumas, etc.. We help clients understand how trauma affects their sense of identity and physical, emotional, and relationship health. TMHC expects that all clinicians work within the guidelines of the NASW Code of Ethics, and/or code of ethics pertaining to their licensing field and the confines of the law.

Our mission is to grow into a diverse team providing culturally sensitive trauma care through modalities that focus on bottom up healing and emotional growth. We offer a supportive work environment that encourages clinicians to grow in their clinical skills, work collaboratively with their team, and promote a positive work life balance. We are not believers in micromanaging our providers' work and trust they will reach out for support when they need it.

Applicants must hold a master’s degree from an accredited college in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Counseling, have an active license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT, in the State of Alaska, have the ability to work independently and in a team environment, and be able to pass a background check. Have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Have experience providing trauma informed care and either have attained, or willing to attain, additional training in EMDR, emotionally focused therapy (EFT) (or other bottom-up treatments), DBT, TF-CBT, or other evidenced based modalities. Willingness and ability to accept constructive feedback and make adjustments in communication, documentation, or interventions as deemed necessary.
