Helps adults and adolescents 16+, couples, and families with adolescents 16+ experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. Approaches: CBT, Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples and individuals.
Jen provides psychotherapy services to adults, couples, adolescents ages 16+, as well as families navigating the impacts of trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and other life stressors. Her approach is warm and collaborative, creating a space where clients feel seen and understood.
Born and raised in Alaska, Jen understands the unique challenges that can come with living in a place where long winters, environmental stressors, and the demands of daily life can deeply impact emotional well-being and relationships. She believes that healing happens within the safety of supportive relationships, including therapeutic or close interpersonal relationships. By working with her clients to create a level of safety that supports open communication and increases the capacity to work through difficult life experiences, she helps clients get to a place where they feel confident and secure in themselves, their decisions, coping abilities, and important relationships.
Jen integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) into her work and will soon be offering EMDR to further support clients in healing from trauma and other stressful experiences. Through an attachment-based and trauma-informed lens, she helps clients better understand themselves, their emotional patterns, and the ways past experiences may continue to shape the present. Jen views each client as the expert in their own life and works alongside them to foster healing, connection, resilience, and lasting change.
